OK, so this is actually a little late since my anniversary was yesterday but I've been making the most of my anniversary present from Anna (who now has her own livejournal at graceunplugged ) which was the season 5 dvd's of Babylon 5. This now means I am an uber-nerd as I have all 5 seasons :) Depending on just how much of a masochist I'm feeling I may at some point get the Crusade box set but only if it's going really cheaply.

It was being a fairly quiet shift until one hospital put in an order (in and of itself not a problem) which meant that I discovered a leaking platelet bag which had dripped over a dozen shelves and a number of platelet packs. So I have just spent the last two hours cleaning up the mess and discovering that damp paper towels grind up quite quickly on the very coarse coating on the shelves. Hmm, I'm kind of glad that this is my last night shift of the week, I need to get away from this place.

But back to the reason for the post. Yesterday, the 28th of August, was our 1st wedding anniversary! After a somewhat less than fortuitous start (around 40 of our guests were struck down with food poisoning at the evening reception, the company dealing with out wedding gift list went bankrupt a week before they were due to delivery the gifts and our bedroom furniture took three months to be delivered instead of the advertised one week) it has been a really good year.

Actually I have to say it is probably my best year ever.

And as far as I can see it is only likely to get better (but next year, there is no way I'm working on our anniversary)
