Dec. 4th, 2006 05:52 pmFirst and foremost, a very happy birthday to
astarise, hope you have a great day and that you've had a good time on your travels :)
A couple of years ago I took a holiday in Vancouver. I'd always wanted to go to Canada and so decided it was something I should do before I turned 30. So I went into the travel agent on the friday and flew out of Manchester on the following Wednesday.
Vancouver in January was absolutely gorgeous (I imagine it's good the rest of the year too). I've always prefered cold weather and most of the time I was there the days were crisp, cold frosty days, so I was in heaven. I stayed in a hostel just outside Vancouver proper, at a place called Jerico beach, which was a two minute walk from the beach which was again just beautiful.
And I'll stop there since I'm gushing far too much. Needless to say, I've wanted to go back again ever since but (and here comes the reason for all this) have had to console myself with viewing it through a web-cam called the Kat Kam (which looks out into English Bay towards Jericho Beach) and now someone has taken images from the cam and made a time lapse film of a day in Vancouver which just makes me want to go back all the more.
