peck72 Ok, I had intended to post some pics tonight, as inspired by

When Firefly was cancelled mid-season it really was an example
of there being no justice in the world. It had an excellent cast (including
the fabulous Jewel Staite), wonderfully inventive storylines, outstanding
production values and a spaceship that kind of looked like a plucked chicken
(but in a good way).
It really was something fresh and promising.
And then it got shot down in it's prime.
And I had no idea why.
This, however, could be the reason. It was destined for greater things.
Ok, I'm probably going a little overboard here. A two minute trailer
does not a great film make (I still quite like the Phantom Menace
trailer in spite of everything else) and there can be many a slip twixt cup
and lip. but I so much want to believe in this it's a little worrying.
It may just be that I want something good to happen for Joss Wheedon
(Firefly's creator) as he's given me such enjoyment with Buffy
and Angel, and that it really sucked having both Angel and Firefly
cancelled so close together. Maybe it's because I'm looking for something
to pick me up after the let down that I'm expecting Episode III
to be or maybe I'm hoping that some Suit at the studio will say in a
meeting "Hey, Serenity did quite good business for us. Reckon we could
spin a tv series off of it?"
Or it could just be that I'm a sad little sci-fi geek
who needs something to have his little fanboy moments
over . . .
Nahhh, I'm definitly scared that Episode III is going to be pants!
