Just a quickie

There's lots I should be putting up on here but as time is short just two things

1. King Kong is almost here! The trailer is up and looks very good. I'd almost forgotten about this since I hadn't been watching for updates on it. It looks as though Peter Jackson has stayed pretty close to the 1930's film, although I can't remember anyone being chased  by herd's of dinosaurs in that one (have to admit it has been a long time since I saw the original).  Kong himself looks good, very convincing and with Andy Serkis doing the motion capture then it can only get better. The only niggle with the trailer so far? The natives on Skull Island look far too close to Orks!
2. iharthdarth , an absolutely wonderful webcomic that is getting pimped everywhere so I thought I'd add to the references.
   
3. Ok, I know I said two things but I saw this pic while googling to find out how to spell Andy Serkis (in my own brain, I was waaayyyy off) and it was so disturbing I just had to share it, Gollum on the red carpet
(edit - ok, the link doesn't seem to work so just google 'gollum' and look for an image of Gollum on a red carpet dressed most disturbingly)

Right, now I need to go shower and dress and get off to work. Happy trails . . .
