Insomnia
Knew this would happen. It's almost 1.15 in the morning and here I am
sitting at the computer wide awake. Oh well, at least it has given me
time to play with the LJ settings and set up another few bits and
pieces although I'm still a little baffled on how I work the friends
thing. I'm sure it'll come to me when I'm not wishing I was sleeping.
Had a good time this past weekend at my cousins wedding (would have been better if work had given me the time off that I asked for, but thats a grumble for another time). The ceremony was a civil one and henceforth quite a short one although this didn't make too much difference to me as it was carried out in welsh and I'm not a welsh speaker! Since there were only 3 non-welsh speakers there, I'm not really surprised though ;)
The wedding was at the Victoria Hotel in Menai Bridge on Anglesey and from the back of the hotel was a beautiful view down onto the Menai Straits. Good food, good atmosphere and a rare chance to catch up with my cousins on the welsh side of the family.
Unfortunately, we (Anna, my wife, and I) had to leave before the speeches since I had to be in work later in the evening but since that left my dad as the only non-welsh speaker there, they were all in welsh too. So I guess I didn't miss too much in the end.
